Well he was a little rushed, but overall I lurv the new design for the Anglish standard infantry.
This is an attempt along with a whole new idea of looking at painting and character detailing.

Now to bore you with details: These infantry are the biggest, most surliest career-fighting men and women. Although the Anglish army is not the size of Iyola's grand assemble, they make up for it with a lot of cavalry and using their physically-superior strength to dominate their opponents..

dang this is a great picture xD i should try more traditional methods of filling some time, the detail in its is so nices along with the and the lightingness but one thing x3 the beardthginy and the lip like ness makes it look not like a muzzle xD or at least a freaky one xD

yeah his snout was a little rushed, if you placed the mouth and beard a little higher it would look alright. I try often to make my furries look more human, while at the same time losing none of their fluffiness XD it doesn't always work...

thanks, and he's just a static character ^_^ wait till you see the cavalry shot I'm working on XD I suddenly found inspiration to break my phobia about drawing large scenes XD

nice work :) he looks quite similar to danish medieval heavy infantry ^^ That axe ^^
But why is he wearing a sword as well?

spares XD and his free hand is reaching for the dagger on his belt...

And I didn't copy anything to create his armor, the helmet is from memory from multiple sources.
also, the Anglish have the strength and ability to wield a poleaxe and a sword at the same time... don't really wanna mess with them.

I can't wait to draw the outfits of the Iyolish and the famous Anglish archers ^_^
